Please come to class from a safe space clear of any obstacles. It is best to not take class on carpet, as toes may stick and injury may occur even when wearing socks or ballet shoes. Ideally, dancers will attend class from an area with a hard floor and ballet shoes so as to limit injury. Hard floors with bare feet may also be acceptable, but dancers will need to exercise care to prevent injury. Class attire should be form-fitting so that the teacher can correct placement, but clothing should not restrict movement. Leggings and a tank top work well if you don't feel ready to purchase dance attire! If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to ask!

As dance is a physical activity in addition to an art, adults should be nearby to supervise class completion in a safe area. While the instructor will take all reasonable measures to explain how to safely execute each exercise, this is an online course and it will require some adult supervision to minimize risk to the dancer.
