수업 소개
Positive Affirmations for the Soul will teach students how powerful speaking positively to themselves can be. Students will learn what affirmations are; what they look and sound like. Students will be able to practice speaking positively. The class will have a short PowerPoint at the beginning that will prompt the class activity. My teaching style is fun, interactive, and inviting. Sometimes we forget to practice being as nice to ourselves as we may be to others, so this is an opportunity for learns to gain tools that promote positive self-talk. No experience or knowledge required!

I have experience working as a middle school program leader and cheer/dance coach within this school, group-home youth counselor (ages 12-18) for 4 years, Psychiatric Case Manager for individuals re-entering into the community, and currently working as a Care Coordination family Consultant.I love teaching the importance of growth mindsets, empowerment, and life skills. Working in the social services field has given me the opportunity to work with youth and families from different walks of life. My experiences have ignited my passion for empowering youth and providing them with the skills and tools for continued success.
