Perfect for first-time and beginners wanting to get comfortable painting. In this workshop: PRE-CLASS WORK! Instruction will be sent in the welcome email after you register & posted in the class discussion Please complete both steps prior to your class 1- You will learn how to edit and print your pet photo 2- You will learn how to transfer your pet photo to the surface (relax= super easy you will TRACE your pet photo) *both steps will have a demo video, very easy and a skill the student...
1- Students will learn how to transfer an image outline (your pet) to the surface 2- Learn about brush pressure for outlining 3- Start to get comfortable with painting (or other supplies you are using) 4- Fill in their subject with fun (or realistic) colors 5- Be Kind to themselves if a "Happy accident" happens during their creative process 6- That painting is fun and can be relaxing

Stretched Canvas or Canvas Panel (Optional - heavy Watercolor paper & watercolors) Brushes: 3 brushes Large flat brush Medium flat brush Small Pointy Brush *synthetic acrylic brushes are the best and most affordable **the Artist loft brand brushes are GREAT to purchase Micheals has a 12 pack for $5 - great value Acrylic paint: Please try to get "student grade paint" - Liquitex basics ($5-10/color) is what I recommend You will use more white than any other color, so I recommend buying an extra white PRINTED REFERENCE PHOTO: - edited pet photo This can be printed (8.5x11in) on a cheap printer (home, library, staples, Walgreens) FYI- This printout will be drawn on top of, so don't use the thicker more expensive paper The student can then transfer the line drawing to the surface with a graphite pencil colors needed for this project: WHITE BLUE RED YELLOW BLACK GREEN ORANGE PURPLE RAW SIENNA BURNT SIENNA More info about supplies - https://paintwithlovejoy.teachable.com/p/basic-supplies You can attend this workshop and use other mediums like: Acrylic paint (shown in demos) watercolor paint crayons Colored pencils Markers. etc...
