This class is all about ice cream: the good flavors, the bad flavors, and the mixed-up flavors. You will encounter all kinds here, including ones you've never heard before. After an introduction to our topic through poetry, and an introduction/review of nouns and adjectives, students will become ice cream "inventors" creating concoctions that you might want to run out an taste test....and perhaps those you'd rather not! No background is required and no homework will be assigned. However, I encourage you to illustrate your inventions after class and would love it if you shared your creations with me! Come indulge in your LOVE of ice cream.

Maybe it's because my name begins with an "A" or maybe because it's the beginning of the alphabet, but I love alliteration! It's a fun descriptive element that can be added to poetry, stories, and any other kind of writing to make them more descriptive. I find that alliteration can be inspiring and playful for students and I love that it encourages imagination at the same time. I’ve taught for over 20 years and have enjoyed teaching in Outschool since 2018!리뷰
