수업 경험
In each lesson, time will be allotted for review as well as instruction of new material. Students will have the opportunity to play what they have been working on as well as try out new concepts learned that day. This course reviews and builds on C position, G position and middle C position. We also work on rhythm which includes whole notes down to eighth notes. Students can exchange ideas during class and will also get the chance to play for one another!
Students will build confidence as they explore and learn to play beginner piano selections. The arrangements are very well prepared! Students really enjoy the mix of slow flowing melodies as well as up beat catchy tunes!
My previous teaching experience allows me to assess a student's learning style quickly. I am then able to deliver a lesson that is tailor made for their own strengths! I understand that students take lessons so that they can play music they love - not just melodies from a lesson book. My fun, yet effective teaching style strikes a balance whereby my students are engaged, encouraged and enthusiastic towards learning!
For this course, students will need their own copy of Alfred's Level 1B Piano Lesson Book. This can be purchased on amazon.com or at most music retailers.
