In this ongoing class students will learn to read and write CVC and CCVC short vowel word families. We will begin by practicing the sounds in the words and blending the phonemes without a visual prompt(Phoneme Blending). We will then move on to practice building the words with magnetic white boards and magnetic letters, white boards and markers, or pencil and paper. We will read a combination of stories from Reading A_Z (with permission), and silly stories I have written for each word family...
Students will improve in their ability to read CVC patterned words and sight words.

Magnetic letters and a magnetic white board(Amazon) is best. Individual letters cut out to use during class can also be used in place of magnetic letters. Additionally, white board and marker or pencil/crayons and paper can be used.
