In this class, your child will participate in a read-aloud and sing-along of the book "Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons". Your child will read/ sing along with the teacher, make predictions, and share their predictions with their peers. After the read aloud, students will create their own Pete utilizing different art materials. Students will be able to choose how many buttons Pete has on his jacket, and will be able to share their creations with the class. During this class, not only will your child develop close reading skills like retelling and making predictions, but they will also utilize fine motor skills and creativity while creating their own representations of Pete. In order to participate in this class, students should be able to utilize scissors independently. Students will be taught via discussion, and also through slides. I intend to provide a fun and engaging classroom experience for all enrolled :) I love to have fun, and hope your child does too!!
