Regarding school subjects, origami helps with math ( like Geometry and fractions), thinking skills, problem solving, and science (like bridges and shapes...
Learners will need square, thin paper. Having several pieces of paper will be helpful in case a fold doesn't go right and they need to start over. Origami paper is recommended and can be purchased online or at most craft stores. You can also cut your own squares of printer paper, notebook paper, etc. Try to have paper that is thin, as thick paper like cardstock may be difficult to fold.
