수학의 다단계 단어 문제를 해결하는 조직적인 방법

Students will learn in an I do, we do, and you do format. Students will interact with myself and any other students in the class through video and chat in a discussion based interaction. Students will need at least 3 blank sheets of paper as I first go over a problem with them showing how to break the problem down. Next, I will show another math word problem that I will have then walk me through using the same steps I showed them in the first problem and working together with the other learners in the class in a discussion. Finally, I will display a problem on the screen that they will then solve on their own and will show the class through their video how they used their newly learned organizational technique to solve the word problem by verbally walking through the steps they learned and used. We will be learning how to solve multi step math word problems using a frayer model diagram which will help us to break the problem down by identifying the question, pulling out key terms, solving the problem and then using all of the previous steps to help explain their answer. We will be using the frayer model diagram to break down middle grades math word problems in a step by step approach. Learners will need prerequisite basic operational math skills of integer addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of no more than 2 digit numbers. I will not be using decimals, fractions or percent so that the focus of the work is the actual steps to solve a word problem. Math topics to be covered in this class include integer addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
