What will class be like? Learners will build their Spanish proficiency in speaking, writing (depending on ability), listening, and reading (depending on ability) by engaging in song & conversation surrounding the topic, songs, stories, or activity of the day. My specialty is language acquisition and my passion is doing that through topics. It feels like the most enjoyable and natural way to pick and and increase a new language. When I am not teaching Outschool I am a full time 4th grade Spanish immersion teacher teaching math & science 100% in Spanish to 9 & 10 year olds. I am also raising my young daughters to be be bilingual. I have held "Mommy & Me" world language classes at our public library in the past.
In general, learners should have: (with permission of the parent reflecting their ability to use) a notebook crayons scissors glue/tape construction paper playdoh dry erase board & expo For other planned crafts, I will post more specific materials in advance.
Parents should supervise the use of scissors and view the ingredients in the playdoh to ensure that there are no allergies to their child.
