Taking two numbers from 1-10, students will explore their relationship to each other through addition and its inverse, subtraction. Students will refresh their knowledge of simple addition and subtraction through the manipulation of concrete objects. They will learn about fact families and how the relationship between three numbers forms a pattern. Students will also learn that addition and subtraction are inverse operations.
I am a UK qualified primary school teacher with a specialism in mathematics and have been teaching for six years. I am passionate about young children being given the opportunity to explore and have fun with concrete objects to build a strong mathematical foundation.
