*This is part 2 (a more advanced version) of this class. I suggest this class for students who have taken part 1 OR students who have a very good understanding of the number sense concepts outlined below. This fun and engaging math game will focus on studentâs knowledge of number sense. Through playing this game, students will apply knowledge of numbers 1-120, even/odd numbers, place value (ones/tens/hundreds), less than and greater than, addition and subtraction, and skip counting. Students need to have an understanding of these skills in order to successfully participate. If a student hasnât mastered these skills this is a great way to practice and become more fluent with these essential math concepts. We will begin class with a quick review of the skills mentioned above and then move into the game. I will model how the game will be played as we work through the first set of clues together. Students will need to have a copy of the 120 chart. I will give clues to students so they can try and figure out the number I am describing. This version (part 2) will include more advanced number sense clues for students than in the original version of the class. I recommend putting the 120 chart in a dry erase sleeve (or in a photo frame or any other erasable surface) so that it can be used multiple times throughout the game.

Students will use critical thinking skills problem solve using math skills through this game using a 120 chart. They will apply knowledge of number sense including odd and even numbers, less than and greater than, place value up to hundreds, addition, subtraction, and skip counting. Students will have a better understanding of how numbers are related as well as various number patterns that are beneficial for students to use in solving other math topics.
