Enjoy and learn about literary classics without all the reading! This is a "book study", but it is aimed at those who struggle with or simply dislike reading long amounts of text. For this class students have a choice of reading a graphic novel (aka "comic book"), listening to an audiobook or podcast, or even watching a video of Ray Bradbury's classic tale of censorship, "Fahrenheit 451". This class is an ideal format for students who are dyslexic or have other issues that make reading...
Hopefully, students will learn about and appreciate a literary classic without having to be bogged down in the mechanics of reading. They will learn how to analyze a story and how to synthesize that into their own ideas and creativity to produce an alternate re-telling of the story.
My experience in teaching students with learning challenges has inspired me to create this version so that these students can also be exposed to literary classics and enjoy creating their own stories.

Access to the book, audiobook, graphic novel, or a video adaptation of "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury.
Some content mentioned in the novel: violence, suicide, drugs, alcohol, some profanity. However, these are not the main emphasis of the story. Please use guidance if your learner chooses to watch the HBO video (there is a "school safe" version I can provide a link to as well).
Students will choose the novel, graphic novel, audiobook, or film to access the story.
