In this fun and interactive class, students will read and discuss the books in the Chronicles of Narnia series. Each week, students will come to class ready to discuss the assigned chapters. Students will have fun talking about their favorite characters and moments from each book. They will also explore the themes of each book and what we can learn from the Narnia stories. We will take two class meetings to discussion each book. We will also go through the Narnia books in publication order....
In this class, students will learn how to discuss the books they read in a meaningful way. They will also learn how to speak and act graciously when they disagree.

This class is ideal for students who are avid readers. Students enrolled in this class are expected to read 8-9 chapters per week. If your student prefers a slower reading pace, I offer individual classes on each Narnia book. In those classes, students read 2-4 chapters per week and complete short, creative assignments. Additionally, although there are Christian themes in the Narnia books, this will not be the focus of the class. Per Outschool policy, all classes must be kept secular and I stick to that policy. The Narnia books are for everyone. There are valuable lessons to be gleaned in each Narnia book, no matter your religious beliefs. My Narnia classes have been enjoyed by religious and non-religious students alike!
