Students will learn what half steps and whole steps are , and be able to form them from any given starting note. 
Students will understand how musical intervals are the building blocks for scales, and chords. 
Students will learn the basic musical intervals and what they are called. 
Students will play the intervals on their guitar. 
Students will learn what a tetra - chord is , and be able to create major scales on the guitar using tetra - chords. 
Students will learn about key signatures and about the sharp scales in major keys. 
The students will learn what the Circle of Fiftgs is, and how to figure out what major scale or key they are playing,  based on how many sharps are in the key signature. 
Students will be able to play half steps , whole steps ,  intervals , tetra - chords , and the major key sharp scales on their guitar. 
The students will learn the information needed to be ready for the level 2 class. 

  I have 20+ years experience, as a music teacher.  I have taught piano, electric keyboard, guitar, and general music classes, in both the classroom and private settings. 
I was head of the music department at a private high  school in Maryland. 
I taught private piano and guitar lessons at a guitar shop, for 5 years, in addition to my own private students in my studio. 
  I have a bachelor's degree in music education, from Towson University, plus graduate studies in music education.
