During this class, students will practice creating rhythmic patterns using words associated with spring. Examples of words could be "sunglasses", "beach", "ice cream", etc. Students will work together to sort the words by the number of sounds/syllables. Students will then work together with the teacher and each other to create 4-beat rhythms and 8-beat rhythms, as time allows. The words and syllables will mostly match quarter notes, eighth-note pairs, sixteenth note groupings and sixteenth...
