In this virtual visit to the Zekelman Holocaust Center, you will learn about the history of the time period of 1930 - 1945. Reasons for the changes in the world economy post World War I, the rise of political parties in Germany, the tragedy of the Holocaust as well as some general history of Jewish people and traditions will be covered. Students will improve their understanding of major events throughout history around the world, events that led to the Holocaust, world economies, how the world reacted to the Holocaust and the end of WWII.
As an educator for 15 + years, I believe that students can learn to appreciate events from the past through interactive virtual visits. We are all better served when we learn about events from the past.
Some statistics will be shared in a child friendly manner. Pictures are primarily of information regarding the Holocaust and not tragic or disturbing images.
