This class contains 6 lessons that teach a friendly way to solve and recall the higher multiplication facts (6's, 7's, 8's and 9's). The first four lessons will focus on one of the higher multiplication facts (6's, 7's, 8's and 9's), since they tend to be tougher to recall. My lesson videos include me modeling and guiding students to use this researched-based strategy and solve the math facts accordingly with this skill. Learners will have time to pause the video as needed and practice along with the video. At the end of those lessons, they will have a practice page to practice this strategy on their own as well. The very last lesson is a friendly competition to see if students can "beat the teacher" as we compete to solve, randomly selected, multiplication facts from our lessons. My strategies teach students how to solve, practice, and remember multiplication facts by using the “friendly facts” strategy. So your child will leave my class with a strategy to solve multiplication facts but also the opportunity to retain and memorize multiplication math facts....and possibly BEAT THE TEACHER! At the end of lesson six, there is a certificate of completion that each learner can print and be proud of their hard work...and FUN! LESSON FORMAT: 1. Video of me teaching the skill and practice to follow along with. 2. Practice page to practice lesson strategies from the lesson video. **Don't forget to print your certificate of completion! Let's have some fun!

Hello and thank you for visiting my teaching profile.
I have seventeen years of teaching experience in the public schools from kindergarten through fifth grade. I found Outschool as I was homeschooling my son last school year. I have, since then, fallen in love with all that Outschool has to offer and teach full-time and I'm loving every experience.
Though I have experience in teaching all core classes, my most favorite subject is....I can't choose, ha, ha!. Currently I offer reading comprehension, and writing classes as well as various classes teaching priority math concepts. I believe that if I LOVE teaching the class, then the learner will LOVE learning and in the end learning will take place. My lessons include visual models and manipulatives to engage students with learning in a concrete way. I also use graphic organizers and innovative teaching styles and strategies to support reading comprehension, writing and vocabulary concepts. I am patient and very enthusiastic. Last and kind of least, I love pizza and soccer! Ha ha!
