This course focuses on the most important skills that learners need for understanding and finding equivalent ratios, and recognizing proportional relationships. After successfully completing this course, learners will be able to - Explain the meaning of a ratio - Construct an accurate ratio from information given in a word problem - Recognize when two ratios are proportional - Calculate equivalent (proportional) ratios from a given ratio Problems will be limited to positive values.
As a public school math teacher, I have many hours of experience in coaching learners on how to be successful in math. Homework is provided as extra practice but will not be collected. Estimated time to complete the homework assignment is 20 – 45 minutes, depending on learner’s level of math competency.
