Let’s listen to a story and build with legos a challenge that is related to the theme! Learners will listen to a story while they use their legos to complete a lego building challenge that relates to the book. Themes include: dinosaurs, community helpers, animals, nature. Our class will start with quick introductions and greetings, we will go over class rules (taking turns speaking, raising hands, mute policy), I will introduce the book being read, and then give a few different choices...
Students will: •Learn critical thinking skills as they complete a lego challenge, •develop listening skills and comprehension skills as they listen to the story and answer questions, •develop social skills as they interact with the teacher and peers, •develop public speaking skills as they share their creations with one another.
I have been a certified teacher for over 10 years, and have taught grades PreK through 6th. I have 3 boys at home all whom love playing legos. I love that this class is Creatively Learning many skills such as: literacy, social emotional, math, stem, and fine motor!
