Students will learn basic to intermediate functions for Microsoft Word. The class is structured in three parts. Students will spend the first 25-30 minutes of class learning about the functions of the day, seeing a demonstration of what the functions do and playing around with them on their computers. There will also be time for students to ask questions on the features that have been taught and re-teach any necessary components. They will then be given a class assignment to complete that...
Day 1 - The basics: create a blank documents, font type and size, font color, highlighting, word emphasis, word art, paragraph alignment, bullets, numbering, shading and borders. Student's will apply their new knowledge by creating work using their newly obtained skills. Day 2- Basics +: Students will review functions learned in the previous class and learn some new functions. In this session students will learn how to insert a table, pictures, shapes, links, headers, footers, page numbers, videos, text and symbols and hyperlink. Student's will apply their new knowledge by creating work using their newly obtained skills. Day 3- Intermediate: Students will review functions learned in the previous class and learn some new functions. In this session students will learn about page design, borders, page color, columns, layout, page size, orientation and group/ungroup images. Student's will apply their new knowledge by creating work using their newly obtained skills.
