In this one-time class, students will have a fun time learning a beginning Polynesian dance routine to the song "Where You Are" from the movie Moana!

The class will begin with some stretches and warm-ups set to the song "How Far I'll Go" and "You're Welcome". During this time, the instructor will call on each student between stretches to ask them to share what they enjoyed most about the movie. After our engaging "Stretch and Share" warm-up time, students will then learn basic Hula steps and basic Ori Tahiti (Tahitian dance) steps necessary for their routine as well as simple, choreographed arm motions set to the song "Where You Are". During their choreography instruction, students will also learn the meaning of their arm motions as they correlate to the song. While practicing the steps, students will be able to receive feedback from the instructor and have opportunities to ask questions. 

At the end of class, we will perform the dance together. 

All steps are beginner-friendly. No experience required. The instructor will break down the movements and teach at a slow pace so all learners can enjoy the lesson.
