Hello and welcome to “Mini Band’! Make sure you have an instrument ready, whether its an air guitar, ukulele, shaker, or even a drum! Before we dive into class, we always start off with a group breathing exercise to get everyone centered and locked into class. Next, it’s time warm up our voices with a silly vocal warm up and nursery rhythm. Once we are all ready to rock, there are so many “Mini Band” activities to choose from! Whether it’s identifying happy and sad chords (major and minor), different beats (quarter, eight, triplets and sixteenth notes), writing the next #1 hit song inspired by the students creative input or singing a band favorite, we’re always rocking out and having a good time! Song requests and new band members are always welcome!
