Course Highlights: Weekly In-Person Meetings: We will work on a provided writing prompt where your student will learn to independently organize and express elaborated ideas in an effective essay. Students will receive explicit instruction and guidance throughout the writing process as they plan, outline, draft and edit their pieces. Topics: The Expository Essay, The Narrative Essay, The Persuasive Essay and The Descriptive Essay Teacher Feedback: Students will receive teacher feedback on their writing throughout the process and guidance on how to improve their writing. Late Policy: Per Outschool's Happiness Guarantee - once a student is 10 minutes late it is considered a missed meeting. Due to the limited availability in my schedule and the increase in student interest in tutoring I will not be able to refund or transfer a student once he/she is 10 or more minutes late. I will be happy to refund or reschedule a session if communication is given ahead of time!
학습 목표
Students will improve their writing skills. We will focus on the different parts of the writing process (planning, outlining, writing, editing and rewriting) while also working on grammar and spelling. Students will walk away feeling confident in their writing!

I have been a public school teacher in Massachusetts for over ten years. I have taught English to both middle school and high school students of all levels, and I have also taught special education courses during the summer. I love being in the classroom!
