We will cover whatever aspects of middle school math that you need help with or that you want to explore further, from fractions/decimals/percents/ratios to geometry to algebra. 

My 1-on-1 classes are completely personalized to what you need. Do you need homework help and help preparing for tests? Do you get bored in class and want to have more of a challenge? We will cover the topics you need and wish to cover. 

I start out each 1-on-1 class by finding out if there is something in particular that the learner needs/wants to cover. If they do not have something in particular, I will introduce a concept and help them learn it through practice problems, demonstrations with manipulatives, puzzles, etc. As I get to know my students better, the sessions get more and more personalized to their interests, current abilities, learning styles, etc. 

I have a very interactive, exuberant teaching style. I get very excited about math and science, and that shows in my teaching. I believe that it is my job to guide learners and help them find their excitement in learning. If a student is interested and having fun, learning happens naturally. Learners will learn more, better, faster if they are engaged.
