The objectives will be to:

-strengthen skills with 2- and 3-digit addition and subtraction
-strengthen skills with 2-digit multiplication and division
-develop fluency by identifying multiplication and division facts
-utilize skills learned to create puzzles for others to solve

I LOVE math, and I LOVE puzzles that require critical thinking!  I make it a goal to find creative and interesting ways to deliver instruction while helping students build their math sense.  This course will allow learners to practice, strengthen and grow at their own pace in a more engaging way than numerous skill and drill worksheets.

Because this is a flex class, "homework" will be for students to complete all activities in the lesson prior to the release of the subsequent lessons.  Students will be encouraged to collaborate with classmates to discuss the different strategies and solutions for the puzzles.

As students answer each of the questions, they should be able to find the answer as part of the puzzle.  This will allow them to determine whether or not they are on the right track.  If there are any problems with finding the solutions, students can contact me via Outschool for a clue or instruction as to how to proceed.
