These individualized tutorials are designed to meet and support the student wherever they are at with their math or language arts practice and learning. The class can be taken regularly, intermittently or as a one-time support. I have been a grades math and language arts support teacher in Waldorf schools and privately for many years and have a Master's in Education as well as Waldorf teacher training. We will create a curriculum based on their needs and skills or for whatever work they are requiring support. I tend to encourage practicing mental math as well as written problems and enjoy making math fun by incorporating math games and activities that keep things interesting and applicable to real life.

Engaging students by making education meaningful and fun is how I approach teaching. I have been trained as a Waldorf and remedial grades teacher and have a Master of Science in Education, as well as a background in music and the healing arts. I have been teaching for over twenty years in various capacities, from music to math and reading support, and have worked with young children through adults.
My interests and specialties include supporting students with learning challenges and creating ways to bridge education and health while fostering a love of learning. Music is another passion and I spent over a decade teaching piano and performing in various groups as a vocalist and instrumentalist.
