In this class, students will learn about ratios and rates by extending their prior knowledge of fractions and fraction equivalence. They will understand how to express and solve problems using ratios, equivalent ratios, rates, and unit rates. How is your class structured? The class is structured as a self-paced online course, allowing students to progress through the material at their own speed. Each module builds upon the previous one, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each concept. How will you teach? Use a variety of online resources to keep the lessons engaging and dynamic. This includes: - Interactive video lectures with visual aids - Online hands-on activities where students create their own ratios and rates - Educational games and quizzes that reinforce key concepts - Real-world examples to show the practical applications of ratios and rates What's your teaching style? My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. I aim to make math relatable and enjoyable by connecting it to real-life scenarios. Foster a growth mindset, and celebrate both small and large successes to build confidence and enthusiasm in math. Students can ask questions and seek help through the online platform, where I will provide timely feedback and support.
