During our 1-on-1 tutoring session learners will work toward mastering math concepts according to their current level of study by reviewing them in a math game. My experiences as a home educator and private school teacher have afforded me 10+ years teaching math concepts to students of all ages, especially 1st through 7th graders. Throughout those years I have developed many ways to make math mastery attainable for learners within the different levels. My all-time favorite way is through gaming.

Our 1-on-1 tutoring sessions are highly interactive and (sometimes) competitive. The learners will have a chance to compete against the instructor or the game (but also work together) each week and earn rewards as they play. Not all students will win. Learners should be able to exhibit good sportsmanship regardless if they win or lose. In this session the materials will be presented to the learners via an interactive Canva or Google slideshow presentation (shared on the teacher's device, only). No external links will be clicked. No additional websites will be visited. No additional logins are necessary for the learners.
