Hello!, 
     Let me tell you a bit about myself.  I have been teaching 3rd grade for 4 years in the the Longwood Central School Districts. I love teaching math, writing, social studies and technology courses. 
     I went back to school for teaching when I was 37 and now at 47, I only wished I started earlier.  Now with a Masters in Special Education and becoming Google Certified, I want to share my passion for learning beyond my concrete four walls. Not only have I experienced one on one tutoring for students, I have also spoken in parent workshops and to my peers at Superintendent's day conferences about how to include Google classroom into their instruction.  
     What was I doing all those other years you ask? Good question! Actually for the past 26 years I have been running my own martial arts dojo. In fact, I have opened 3 locations and still run one to this day in addition to being a full time 3rd grade teacher. The story of why I am now in the educational system stems from watching my children grow as well as others in my dojo. 
     Since I have been working with all ages in my dojo for years, it seemed to be an easy enough transition to go into education.  With my 2 boys getting older, I have time to do more and since I had not received a college degree prior to going back to school, this was a great chance to do so and show my two boys it's never too late to add more to your life. So, here I am.
     I believe any child can learn regardless of hurdles they may face. There are numerous avenues of learning and the fun part is finding the one that connects to a student. It's important to keep learning fun and engaging.
