Students will learn facts about marine mammals while developing an understanding of animal classification, habitats and food webs.
I am teaching this class because I am enthusiastic about sharing my life long passion for marine science with students. Shortly after spending my 14th birthday on the Great Barrier Reef, I was certified to Scuba Dive, and minored in Marine Science in college. I have always loved exploring underwater ecosystems and learning about the amazing wildlife of the ocean! I will share my experiences of snorkeling with dolphins and fur seals in New Zealand and manatees in Florida, and whale watching in Madagascar and Alaska!
A variety of optional craft projects will be provided for before, during, or after class. Learners may choose the project that is the right fit for them depending on interest and available supplies.
