Hello and welcome to our engineering world of Tinkercad. "Tinkercad is a free, easy-to-use web app that equips the next generation of designers and engineers with the foundational skills for innovation: 3D design, electronics, and coding!" In this one-time exciting, fun, and engaging class, students will use apply their Tinkercad knowledge further into the application. The student will build a roller coaster model in 3D workspace. Learners will become familiar with the advanced engineering design process and gain confidence using Tinkercad. They will be able to think, sketch, plan, and design more engineering designs independently. Students will be able to manipulate 3D shapes to create any models such as architecture or other advanced designs in TinkerCad.
I have a mechanical engineering degree and worked with companies in CAD modeling applications and 3D Designs. I have trained students in 3D modeling & design, and also supervised summer camps. Not only that, I have tutored over 10,000 students in core math and science subjects for the last 5-6 years. I love to work with students. It would be beneficial for learners to have a notebook to document their work, so this can be referred later on when designing any future project. If a temporary account is needed while waiting for a parent-approved account for kids under 13, please let me know early. These temporary accounts will be deleted without notice frequently to ensure student safety and to comply with Outschool standards.
