수업 소개
Beginning with a song and dance, I will introduce/review the concept of subtraction with regrouping. Terminology such as: minuend, subtrahend, difference, regroup, place value, etc. will all be discussed. The students will then sort their M&M candies into color groups. I will read an excerpt of "More M&M's Math" by Barbara McGrath, before we create subtraction problems to solve using their M&Ms. (PDF printout provided before class). This is a great introduction into subtraction with regrouping, or simply a good review for anyone who needs it.

Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom (including 4th grade and Texas History); substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level (History); assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins.
