In this class student will continue to practice using the Sight Words, CVC words, and some CVCE words they have learned to write sentences. We will start with sentences I have started and add words, next we will move on to making sentences together. Finally, we may have opportunity for students to make their own sentences. In this class students will receive instruction from me; they will also have opportunity to interact with their classmates. It will have fun playing games and getting to know one another as we write sentences together! A knowledge of Sight Words, CVC words, and some CVCe words will benefit students in this class.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
I look forward to meeting your child and having lots of fun learning together!
