Welcome, little learners! This class will be a fun time of learning to draw an animal or animals depending on time. In this course, we will learn to draw animals using simplistic, step-by-step directions to complete our artwork. Everyone, even those with little hands, can be artists. You just need some imagination. We will begin class with introductions and discuss our favorite animals. Students are welcome to bring a stuffed or real animal for show-and-tell. Students will practice fine motor skills through drawing and coloring. Students will practice social skills through discussion in class.
I am by no way an artist. But what I do have is many years of experience teaching children in the classroom as well as my own children. I encourage imagination and play! I am just as much a beginner artist as young children so they will not feel intimidated or overwhelmed as I will show patience and make class as fun as possible. While I know taking a class from a skilled artist is great, sometimes a young learner may enjoy a simple class with a beginner as well!
