In this class, children will learn the basics of healthy cooking and nutrition. They will gain practical cooking skills, understand the importance of balanced meals, and discover how to make tasty recipes that are good for them. Learners will build independence as they complete steps on their own, such as measuring ingredients or mixing, fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-reliance. This class features simple, age-appropriate, easy-to-follow recipes and easy-to-handle ingredients. The goal of these classes is to combine education with fun, ensuring that children learn valuable skills and habits in a way that feels enjoyable and rewarding.

🥗 Class Structure:
▶️ Introduction (5 minutes): Greeting learners, overview of the day’s lesson and objectives.
▶️ Nutrition Education (10 minutes): Interactive discussion or activity about nutrition related to the day’s recipe.
▶️ Hands-On Cooking (25 minutes): Guided cooking activity where children follow along with the teacher.
▶️ Q&A and Sharing (5 minutes): Opportunity for learners to ask questions and share their creations.

👩🏼‍🍳 Teaching Style:
My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and supportive. I focus on making learning fun and accessible, encouraging children to be curious and creative in the kitchen. I use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, including visual aids, hands-on activities, and storytelling.

We have experience working with learners of all abilities, including ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ASD and more. Learners of all abilities are welcomed and encouraged to join us in class. Please contact us for more information.

Ms. Elizabeth has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education. She taught in a public school setting since 2015, including teaching exclusively online in 2020 during the pandemic. In her spare time, she enjoys running, baking, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family. Ms. Elizabeth's favorite thing about teaching is seeing children’s confidence boost and watching them take risks!
