To get the most out of our class please provide your student with the following:
- Watercolor paper or heavy mixed media paper. (Please note: you do not have to have fancy paper to participate in this class but thin sketch paper or printer paper will not hold up well, and might be discouraging for your student.)
- Watercolor set- any watercolor set will do. The cheap student grade watercolor sets can have great results, especially when used on paper that is made for watercolor.
- Pencil and eraser (and sharpener, if applicable)
- Waterproof ink pen- Many pens will not run when water is applied over them. My advice is to test the writing pens around your house before using them in class. Search "waterproof ink pens" to see what pens you already have available, or links for where to find recommended pens.

-Paint brush (or two)
-cup of water and paper towels or napkins for cleaning brushes in between colors.

Additional optional supplies -
- spray bottle- I like to use a spray bottle of water to wet my watercolor paints. There are also fun techniques students can try using spray bottle.
- White gel pen- students can finish their artwork by adding highlights with their white pen after the artwork dries.
-additional reference images in case students are quick and would like to create a second drawing
- Nature journal with heavy paper suitable for wet mediums
