Students will learn about caterpillars and butterflies, and discuss surprising things about how a caterpillar grows into a butterfly. Students will complete a craft including the phases of a caterpillar and butterfly. Welcome 3-5 minutes Discussion about caterpillars and butterflies 6-9 minutes Discussion of where butterflies come from 14-18 minutes Phases of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly craft 12-16 minutes Discussion butterflies versus moths 3-5 minutes Further conversation and associated coloring pages 5-10 minutes Slides present information to students Students engage in discussion and question/answer participation
