Through lecture and discussion, scholars will learn about college admissions, financial aid, and scholarships and how to prepare for success.

4. Scholars will know the different types of financial aid.
5. Scholars will know the habits they need to develop and the actions they need to take to plan for college admissions success.

As an independent college counselor and education consultant for federal and state granted-funded programs, I have developed award-winning college and career readiness programs that have been scaled and replicated in several schools and districts. In these capacities, as well as my formed district and building roles, I have helped thousands of students of varied socioeconomic and academic programs succeed in getting accepted into the colleges, universities, and post-secondary institutions of their choice. Ninety-five percent (95%) of Pinnacle Prep scholars get into one or more of their top three choices. I consider my own two children’s success my greatest college counseling accomplishments because both graduated valedictorian (two years apart), were accepted to Stanford, MIT, five-six Ivy League universities, and several Top 20 colleges, and earned $2.5 million in merit scholarships together.
