This class will cover form and technique specific for beam. It will include, but not be limited to, balance, posture, presentation, ankle strengthening, relevé training, full turn mastery, leg tightening, and more. This 25-minute class will always begin with a group warm-up. Afterward, we will move into practicing form and technique-related training as mentioned above. - Gymnasts will gain stability and strength to perform skills and routines with more precision.
To take this class, gymnasts must have completed two competitive seasons or are currently in their second competition season.
Gymnasts will need a balance beam for this class and a panel mat for safety. Any height balance beam will work however, I highly recommend a balance beam with feet. If you need equipment recommendations, don't hesitate to contact me, and I will send you a list of appropriate equipment for your house and gymnast.
Parents, please have an open space for your gymnasts to practice in. No tables or hard surfaces they could hurt themselves on. By signing up for this class, you should understand that physical injury is possible when participating in any exercise or gymnastics program.
