In this ongoing book club, learners will develop their comprehension, vocabulary, spelling and more. Come and discover the adventures of the Gruffalo, The Highway Rat, Zog and Stick Man together! ESL friendly. 🔹 Week Beginning 6/1/2025 - Zog 🔹 Week Beginning 13/1/2025 - Monkey Puzzle 🔹 Week Beginning 20/1/2025 - A Squash and a Squeeze 🔹 Week Beginning 27/1/2025 - Superworm 🔹 Week Beginning 3/2/2025 - Tabby McTat 🔹 Week Beginning 10/2/2025 - The Gruffalo 🔹 Week Beginning 17/2/2025 - Room on the Broom 🔹 Week Beginning 24/2/2025 - The Snail and the Whale 🔹 Week Beginning 3/3/2025 - The Gruffalo's Child 🔹 Week Beginning 10/3/2025 - Charlie Cook's Favourite Book 🔹 Week Beginning 17/3/2025 - Stick Man 🔹 Week Beginning 24/3/2025 - The Smartest Giant in Town Further themes will be added. Learners can join the class at any point. This is an ongoing course so each class stands alone. We focus on a different theme from the books each week whilst developing comprehension skills, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing. Learners can join the class no matter how much of the series they have read. Each week will include a range of teaching activities including reading out loud, videos, discussions, activity sheets, Q+A, slides and more. Please note, this is an English language class. This is not a 'read along' class. Our own teaching materials are used to teach learners during this course. The focus of the classes is to develop language including, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, fluency and writing skills.

Learners will need a notebook, pencil and crayons for each class. The books are required for this class. Students may use e-books, hardcopy and paperbacks, or audiobooks to read and comprehend the text.
