수업 소개

💙 I am more than happy to offer a 1:1 section. Please check out my 1:1 Minecraft class. It will not be done in a realm, so they will not have full access whenever they'd like. It will be done in a world.

💚 If you would like a FULLY monitored class where students are always watched and the rules always apply, please search for my other "Cassie's Town" class that is a world, not a realm. You can search for, "Join Me in Cassie's Town." Be sure it doesn't say "realm" in the title.

*If you are unable to play due to technical difficulties, I will refund you. If you are only able to play for half of the class because of technical difficulties, I will give you a half refund.

***UPDATE (active since 6/25/22): There is now a zero-tolerance level to deliberate acts of heightened animal cruelty. It will be grounds for immediate removal of the class in progress, as well as the subscription itself.

Hello, Minecraft gamers! Come join my Minecraft Realm, an upgrade of Cassie's Town. There's a school, rollercoasters, pools, a Simon Says game, a player race, 2D characters, and much more! You can be in survival, adventure, or creative mode. Explore, survive, play with your classmates, and make friends! The best of it all, you get to play in this realm 24/7, whenever you want!

Please read everything for a better experience for everyone.

Class format: There is no formatted curriculum we are following. Each week will build off of the next. Students that join in during any period won't miss anything. This can be a come-and-go class or stay the entire time. Students will have a blast each week!

Before class, I need every student's game tag for Minecraft. The guardian, or learner, can send this to me. If I do not have the student's game tag, I cannot invite them into the Minecraft world for class.

Within the welcome post I have, there is a PDF attached. I suggest printing this off, but it is not required. There are signs in the world and a teleportation station, so students know where things are. However, the PDF attached will have a map of the world to use as a guide.

How the class will run:
If there are no students in class within 10 minutes, then it is automatically canceled and the next class will be the next meeting. Within the first 5 minutes of class, everyone will say "hi" and introduce themselves if new. If I do not have a game tag yet from some students, they can input it in chat (which will be directly to the host; me) during those 5 minutes. If I don't have a game tag from students in class, they will only communicate via microphone. They will be very, very bored. To ensure that doesn't happen, please share the student's game tag with me before class.

After those 5 minutes, all students will disable their cameras but keep their microphones on. Cameras being disabled (turned off) is a requirement as I can't supervise children via zoom (chat will be only to host) while playing Minecraft and supervising them there. This is due to my teaching on a laptop and not having multiple monitors. If students do not know how to turn off their cameras, I can do so myself. I will not be screen sharing unless I feel the need to for helping parents, and students, or entertain some students while they are trying to get logged in or having account issues.

Things to know:
- Meet once a week
- 45 minutes long
- 6 students max
- Realm checked daily by teacher
- Realm; not a world (play whenever - 24/7 access)
- Fire spread is disabled (to decrease houses burning)
- Friendly fire is enabled (security)
- TNT is disabled (to decrease damage happening)
- Keep inventory enabled (in case someone dies)
- Coordinates are enabled (in case someone is lost)
- World is kept on peaceful (no monsters)

Players may join from:
Windows PCs, PlayStation, Xbox, Smartphone, Series S/X, iOS devices, iPadOS devices, Nintendo Switch, and Android devices.
(I play on Minecraft: Windows 10 Bedrock Edition)

Rules (may be updated throughout time):
- Each student gets 3 chances. Once 3 streaks are hit, that student is kicked out of that meeting and withdrawn from the course without a refund. This is a must as I cannot enforce behavior that upsets other students, or no one would have fun.

- If a student received a strike or multiple strikes, the guardian will be notified, and whether they respond will NOT change the strike the student has. The student's action is what got them the strike. Please keep in mind that when I give a strike, it is because they did something intentionally, to be funny but wasn't, or broke a rule. I do often just give a warning instead of a strike if I feel something they did wasn't that bad as in it didn't harm anyone or affect anyone else. So if a strike is given, it was given for a good reason.

Harm a player = 1 strike
Prank someone = 1 strike
Hurt their animal = 1 strike
Harm any animal = 1 strike
Act inappropriate = 1 strike (depending on how inappropriate, more strikes may be applied)
Break someone's things = 1 strike (depending on the damage done, more strikes may be applied)
Steal things = 1 strike
Disrespectful/rude = 1 strike (depends)
Animal cruelty = Removed from class
Kill a player or their animal intentionally = Removed from the class

Hide and Seek Rules (may be updated throughout time):

Invisibility without armor = 1 strike
Invisibility with only 1 piece of armor = 1 strike
Break things intentionally = 1 strike
Build = 1 strike
Cheat = 1 strike
Kill an animal = 1 strike

If a student has a strike or under 3 strikes, they will be removed in 5 weeks so as long as they don't gain another one, then that 5 week will restart.

In the game:
There are a total of 18 houses in the game, including mine. Students may choose a house if they'd like, or they may build their own. If they select one of the houses, they can put their name on the sign in front of their house, or I will so we know whose house is whose.

If any student who has one of the houses ends up withdrawing from the class, they have one month to join back or they may risk their house being removed.

This has been put into place as there are always new students joining while other students are leaving. However, houses are not removed unless absolutely needed. If all the houses in the town are taken, then houses will be removed as needed from students that have been gone for over a month. If all the houses aren't taken, and the student has been gone for more than a month, their house will NOT be removed unless ALL houses are taken. It's rare for a student's house to be removed, but in popular time sections, it's had to happen a few times now. So, please be aware of this.

                                               **Communication is the key!**
학습 목표
This class is for fun and socializing but can help improve students' communication, Minecraft skills, social skills, and a glance at reality.

Why a glance of reality?

As the teacher is not always in the realm, the students will not be monitored; therefore, things could be stolen, or buildings could be ruined. Students will learn the risk of playing with others when not observed; this gives them a glance at the reality of what could happen if they were playing with STRANGERS like playing on the servers where adults play or playing with random "friends" they don't know online.

READ, at least, the first TWO paragraphs!!!!!! I have three realms (Class A, Class B, Class C) all the same houses/places included. Two sections will be using one realm. For example, during class, it'll be 6 students that paid that come into the realm. However, out of class, due to two sections using one realm, there will be a minimum of one student and a max of possibly 12 students. Please speak to your child(ren) about safety in the realm. While all players there ARE paid and currently enrolled, in-class students, there are still possibilities of damaged properties. While I enforce rules during class, I cannot control, enforce, or monitor out of class. Although I play Minecraft quite a lot, I will be doing consistent check-ins at least once a day. I cannot give strikes for something I didn't see, whether a student sees it or not. Proof, on the other hand, can get someone a strike. Please remember the risks of having your child join a realm and remind them that it's best to protect their property, their items, and the things they've received. If things are stolen or taken, I cannot punish anyone outside of class (as I did not see it), but I can restore the items. If a property is damaged or broken, I can help rebuild it the best I can. TNT IS DISABLED FOR MULTIPLE REASONS and A WITHER CANNOT BE BUILT! I've tried and tested this, it won't work. - I need every student's game tag for Minecraft. - The PDF attached will have a map of the world for students to use as a guide to get to places. - If no one joins the class within 10 minutes, the class is automatically canceled for that week. - At 5 minutes into class, all students will keep their microphones on, cameras off, zoom minimized, and play on Minecraft. Please be sure to go over the rules with your child(ren). Rules (may be updated throughout time): - Each student gets 3 chances.
