함께 음악을 만들어요: 음악 이론 입문 2단계

This class will be an extension from Let’s Make Music Together Level one. Students are encouraged to take the first class but are not required. 
The topics that will be covered over the span of four weeks are as follows:

Week 1: This week, your student will review their knowledge of music notation and expand on that with dotted half notes, eighth notes, and dotted quarter notes as well as more complex rhythms.

Week 2: Your student will learn the classification of musical instruments such as percussion, strings ,woodwinds, and brass. We will listen to examples from each and determine which instrument can play high or low pitches. This is a fun class and students are encouraged to bring their own instruments if they have any!

Week 3: Your student will learn to differentiate between noteworthy eras in music such as classical, romantic, modern, and jazz. We will listen to examples from each as well as historic figures to remember. 

Week 4: This week will be a review of the topics discussed in the past weeks as well as a showcase or project for your student. They may feel free to show off their skills in the instrument of their choice, a composition they have been working on, or talk about their favorite composer/musician.
