Students are provided with a weekly downloadable worksheet/activity they can do outside of class. This is optional. I encourage students and parents to utilize this resource for added reinforcement and practice. Plus, they are fun to do with your kids! Each week in this class, we will be introducing new material in a fun and exciting way! Below is a general list of what we will cover in this on-going class, although students will learn other related topics as well. An activity/worksheet sheet pdf link will be uploaded via our google class link every Monday, which students may refer to for that entire week. [If you sign up after Monday, you can simply access our Google Classroom Link at the bottom of our weekly Class letter]. The weekly activity/worksheet contains the new material for the week. While it is not a requirement to utilize this resource, I encourage parents to participate in the activity and/or worksheet throughout the week with their learners. The activity/worksheet reinforces in a fun hands on way what they are learning throughout the week. A link to all of the slides is also provided for enrolled learners after each class is completed as well for added reinforcement. This beginners class is ideal for students with little to no background in French. The following is a sample of our weekly topics which we review regularly, so no matter when you sign up, material is covered again, but new information is also added! Greetings and Introductions Numbers 1-20+ & Letters Feelings & Emotions Colors Shapes Body Parts Clothing Family Members People in our neighborhood Animals Food & Meals Weather & Days of the Week Sports and activities Seasons Parts of the House Planes, Trains & Automobiles Basic Sentences

Hello Everyone!
My name is Ms. Michelle. It is so nice to meet you! Thank you for taking time out of your day to check out my Bio. Let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself!
First, I am a wife and proud mother of 4 beautiful daughters! I hold a B.A in History, numerous college credits in Elementary School Education and have extensive experience with art, including but not limited to university-level training. I have worked as an ESL teacher to children in China, where I am TESOL certified (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I also teach Introductory Elementary French! Over the last 26 years, I have also had the privilege of working as a 5th grade private school teacher, Montessori summer teacher and tutor for the America Reads Challenge program. I have also homeschooled my 4 daughters for a number of years, worked as a local Church Youth Group leader, Sunday School Teacher and Children’s Ministry Coordinator as well as taught art for pre-school to high school age students. I am a lover of art, history, music and baking all things gluten free! In my free time, I also enjoy playing softball and hiking with my family!
It is my philosophy to make the learning environment a place where everyone feels welcome, recognized and encouraged! Because I have loved art since I was young, I also make it a point to include that love of creativity in everything I do, whether it be teaching someone how to read, or how to create a sculptured masterpiece! Often times, traditional approaches to education alienate learners that thrive using non-traditional approaches, which is why I feel it is so important to teach from as many angles as possible! We all absorb and retain information in our own unique way, so to have a multifaceted approach can only give more opportunities for each learner to do just that!
I am excited to offer classes in Language Arts, History, Gluten free baking, Music, French and Art and my passion for each. I truly look forward to meeting you, passing on my love of creativity and learning and creating a welcoming classroom environment where each child is able to shine!
