This one-time course will encompass one fun song that the student may be familiar with. We will introduce ourselves and talk about our favorite Christmas songs. Students will get the chance to identify any symbols or icons in the song and look at pictures of those symbols. We will read through the song lyrics We will discuss the rhythm, and clap out the 'beat.' The student will sing together with the other students. Students will learn how to learn to identify the symbolism in the lyrics while listening to music, as well as how to move and feel the rhythm by clapping, drumming or shaking a percussion instrument. They will also look at a sheet music coloring page to create curiosity which encourages pre-music reading skills. The student will also learn how to feel comfortable and confident performing along with a group.
Ms. Kim holds a Master of Education in Reading & Literacy, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Art/Art History. She is also a singer/songwriter and actress who has performed all across the US.

This class will not have any homework. However, the sheet music or coloring page (sometimes it is all in one) is optional and will encourage the student to continue working on the song, moves, and rhythm.제공되는 평가
