In this class, builders will be introduced to the art of building a Lego® Mosaic. My teaching style is very student-driven, I will gear my teaching to the need of the builders in class. Students will be encouraged to brainstorm, share, and discuss their ideas with one another. In this class, we will each have a chance to show us a building creation they made at home (these do not need to be mosaics). Then, we will discuss choosing an object as the focus of our mosaics, adding details, brick...
For our ice-breaker activity at the beginning of class, each student should bring one Lego® creation they have built or are working on. Students will each have the opportunity to share their builds as we get to know one another. For class, students all need to bring: A large Lego® baseplate (10"x10" would be best) and many square and rectangle Lego® bricks of various colors.
