In this private tutoring class, students will learn the letter names and letter sounds from a certified teacher. Students will be introduced to a letter in each tutoring session. Students will do a variety of fun and engaging activities to help master each letter name and letter sound. 

Letters and sounds are a foundational skill that students must master to be great readers, spellers, and writers. I am a certified teacher who wants to help your child master the letters and sounds so your learner can become a successful reader and writer. 


**** COURSE OVERVIEW *****
In this course, students will learn their letters and sounds. I use direct instruction, research-based strategies, and interactive games to help students master each letter. 

In each class, we will ...
       - Learn a letter name
       - Learn the letter sound
       - Look at pictures/words that begin with that letter
       - Practice writing the letter
       - Do some interactive activities together to practice the letter name and letter sound


I have a letter sequence that I follow for my tutoring sessions. If your child's school or program uses a different sequence, let me know and I will follow that letter sequence so your child's sessions match what they are learning in school or at home. 


**** INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTION ****
In this course, I provide individualized instruction. I tailor each session to your child's academic learning needs. I also love to incorporate your child's favorite things into our learning. 


**** AFTER CLASS ****
After each class, I provide you with information on our tutoring session. I will let you know what we worked on together. I will also post a handout with additional activities and games your child can do to continue practicing the letter name and its sound.
