Welcome to third grade English Language Arts! This series of 4 classes (Fall, Winter I, Winter II, & Spring) can be used as your student's sole ELA course for their year or as a supplement to another ELA class or curriculum. Students will improve their ability to ask and answer questions to improve reading comprehension. Students will be able to recount a story after reading. Students will be able to identify the main idea and details of a text. Students will be able to accurately describe characters in a text. Students will be able to identify spelling patterns and apply them to new words. Students will write opinion pieces on topics or texts and support their point of view. Students will be able to clearly write informative texts by conveying ideas and information.
