Kooky Ukeys: 새로운 우쿨렐레 노래 주간

Each week we will learn a new song suitable to the ukelele. We will learn the chord fingerings and progression, strumming pattern, rhythms and lyrics for singing along.
Class will be structured with a quick review of ukelele basics such a holding and strumming technique and chord diagrams. It will then proceed to introduce the new song for the week including some listening of tune and rhythm and some analysis of the chord progression. We will then play the chords presented in the song in the proper progression working on fingering and transitioning between chords. Finally we will add 2 possible appropriate strumming patterns (1 very simple, one more advanced) to the progression. The final stage will be singing the song as we play.
I teach in a very hands-on interactive style giving students plenty of chances to play together and individually.
I use some lecture, demonstration, ensemble playing as well as solo opportunities and possibly some listening/video clips.
For this class students need to be have very basic knowledge of the ukelele like how to hold and strum the instrument, what frets and strings are, and the abliloty to attend class with a tuned ukelele or tune your own.
