Hello Kitty Cat Lovers! Are you ready to travel around the world? In this 5 week course, we will journey to a new country through EUROPE each week! During our classes, we will learn about a cat breed that originated in the country we are studying while also learning all about the cultures, customs, foods, celebrations, and MORE for that country! 

Cultures & customs will be touched on at a very high level and any in-depth questions (if brought up during discussions) will be parked in a figurative "parking lot" for family discussion only. Cultural items covered in this course can include high level touch points such as traditional clothing worn, foods eaten, houses, celebrations, languages spoken, landmarks, traditional craftsmanship. Although celebrations discussed may be of religious origin, religions in general will NOT be covered in this class. 

Class Format:
First, we will learn a few quick facts about the cat breed of the week, learn how to say "cat" in the country's primary language, and then our kitty cat friend will follow us as we learn all about the country.  This will be a shared screen presentation that the students can view while also seeing the teacher's face. During class, students can discuss fun and interesting topics we cover while being respectful to the teacher and other students by following standard classroom rules. Students will enjoy the funny things the kitty does during our tour of the country and we will also play a fun "Would you eat that?" game during class. 

Students will receive many pages each week for an encouraged "Travel Binder" that they can put together at home. Children are welcome to have "busy hands" coloring or working on one of these sheets during class but are asked to keep their lines muted unless called on to avoid coloring/paper shuffling background noise from disrupting class. 

HOMESCHOOL OR AT-HOME LEARNING EXTENSION: 
I will encourage students to keep a "Travel Binder" at home to keep all of the things they will receive from this class! It could include the following (all are items that will be given each week):
-A journal page where they write about what they learned (a template page will be provided with writing prompts)
-Collage using photos provided from teacher
-Colored cat breed
-Colored country page
-Copy-work cat proverb/saying

These classes are excellent as a themed additional extension resource for learning activities in a school or home environment.  
The countries that will be covered include France, England, Germany, Italy, & Ireland.

**IMPORTANT CLASS NOTE** 
This class will not run without the minimum number of students noted (4). Class could be cancelled 24 hours in advance of the first class beginning if minimum requirement is not met. The teacher will offer currently enrolled students the option of transferring to a different class with more students or a full refund for the cancellation. If no current sections are available for transferring or none fit with their schedule, current enrolled students will receive a full refund and a coupon code to redeem when additional sections are available that meet their schedule.
